The recent economic downturn around the globe has promoted many businesses look for all kinds of ways to cut down costs. While bigger corporations adopted a restructuring include downsizing, retrenchment, and shutting down branches, many other small businesses opted to re-negotiate wages and benefits while cut down operational costs became an important agenda in the management meetings.

In the manufacturing sectors, one of the operation cost is material cost. They are looking into ways to reduce material cost by re-negotiate prices until such a stage they opted for alternate sources or material substitutions. After all these major program has been carried out, there are still room for further reduction in material cost. One of these major factors is the quality rejects and quality reworks. Unfortunately, many smaller business do not have a comprehensive data and information about quality rejects and reworks. One of the reasons is that these smaller organzation takes quality rejects as a norm where it is unavoidable.

So, the big tips for you to reduce operation cost is to reduce these quality cost. When this is carried out, not only the cost could come down, the quality improves hence customer satisfaction raised. it is worth the effort to focus on reducing quality rejects and reworks.
